Tuesday Night Ride?
Submitted by redstone underground
We’ve tossed around the idea of Marshall Mesa but I think the wind is making the trek south a bit questionable, remember Last Year, does This help? I’d still like to get out for a bit before heading to the OB Bluegrass pick…Redstone around 6 to make the call, at minimum a [...]

Fred is the latest visitor from the northlands — if you can call Moab “north.” Certainly not much dirt to ride up that way these days.
Plenty here. Rain just means good traction.
Chad and I met Fred out in the Tucson Mountains. Starting at the campground there was only possible trail [...]

The views were great but it was too cold for much picture taking (38 degrees).
The park has one main road, ~50 miles from one end to the other, the speed limit max is (supposed to be) 45mph. If you plan to ride here, try a weekday/non-holiday. It seems to [...]

Paula needed a ride out to school to finish up her report cards. School is conveniently located next to the Sweetwater Preserve, so I decided to go for a super easy ride. Still sick, but Sweetwater is the perfect place to see some great desert without raising your heart rate [...]
Video - MC Techfest, day 3

Had a go at editing Mike’s helmet cam footage from the day 3 “shuttle” ride. I’m still learning the software, but it was fun to play around with while sick and watching it rain outside.
Keep in mind that these trails are 100% new to Mike, and as such, he kept [...]

MC Techfest, day 3

Shuttle day!
We started with a quick “shuttle” up the Catalina Highway (we pedaled our bikes ~3000 feet up). We debated about going up to Green Mountain, but there were tiny patches of snow below 6000 ft. The north facing traverse on Greenie was unlikely to be much fun.
So we climbed [...]

MC Techfest day 1

The esteemed Mr. Curiak decided he wasn’t ready for winter just yet. I know the feeling. So he headed south for a few days of sonoran desert chunk. First up was South Mountain in Phoenix. It’s been years since I’ve ridden there, and most of my memories of the trail [...]

Lefthand OVH Part II

Here are the rest of the photos. The entire descent was dry as a bone. I’ve been wanting this since the first snow.
So up on the very top of the ridge above the bare area is where the descent starts.

Hola Ninos, with the temps a little warmer I decided it was time to find some singletrack. Since most of the trails up above the OHV area are south facing, I could see from the road they looked dry so I started my way up. I made the mistake of going up [...]

Easy Goin’ Sunday
Submitted by Harvest The Ride
One of the cool things about being a dad is being able to act a fool, in turn making my little girl smile. She loves it! We sing and dance together.
I found a cool show about just that subject. Although, she is still too young to watch television; Yo Gabba Gabba [...]
Eight at Nine Thirty

Over a few beers last night, a last minute Sunday am ride plan was hatched. Despite all of those potentially involved, for whatever reason (could have been the 8 degree temps, could’ve been the hangovers) the only brave souls that showed were Keith and myself. The sun helped things to feel much, [...]
